2019 Technical Specifications
Region Monthelie
Production Details Bill Nanson described the 2019 source as below Santenots, with deeper soil and flatter land. This differs from the producer's generic technical-sheet description of a steep southeast-facing plot and may reflect vintage-specific cuvée composition or vineyard evolution; the sources do not resolve the difference.
Tasting Notes Bill Nanson (December 2020) described deep fruit, slight reduction, breadth, incisiveness, attractive texture, a suggestion of tannin without grain, less overt sweetness and a delicious finish.

2017 Technical Specifications
Region Monthelie
Sites Les Clous
Production Details The 2017 was fully destemmed. It was the second separate bottling of this small parcel: the cuvée debuted in 2015, with no separate 2016 bottling because the small Les Clous crop went into the village Monthélie. Production was approximately two and a half barrels.
Tasting Notes Bill Nanson described aromatic breadth, salinity, fullness, pepper and fine complexity. Neal Martin noted raspberry, cranberry, crisp tannins, minerality and a balanced palate. William Kelley described ripe berries, peonies, cinnamon, forest floor, lively precision, a sweet fruit core and chalky structuring tannins.
Critics Ratings William Kelley, Robert Parker Wine Advocate: 90 points

2015 Technical Specifications
Region Monthelie
Production Details The 2015 was the first vintage bottled separately as this 1er cru, with only two barrels produced. Bill Nanson reported that a small proportion of whole clusters was retained; no percentage is stated.
Tasting Notes Bill Nanson described floral character, depth, complexity, structure and muscle. William Kelley described red cherry, rose and an elegant, detailed palate, with greater completeness and richness than the village bottling.
Critics Ratings William Kelley, Decanter: 91 points
