Production Details This multi-vintage release combines wines from 2017, 2018 and 2019 with 15% Apanage Perpetual Reserve and includes a 5.6% red-wine component from the Bouzy and Verzenay Grands Crus. Percentage-blend specifications conflict by market: Vranken-Pommery Japan lists 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier, followed by “+5.6%” Bouzy/Verzenay red wine, while the official German shop lists 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay even though its tasting text also names Meunier. Neither percentage formula should be treated as settled.
Tasting Notes Luminous pale pink with coral reflections and fine persistent bubbles; fresh raspberry, redcurrant, pink grapefruit, peony and old rose; silky, creamy and lively, with juicy red fruit, subtle vanilla, light spice and a fresh saline finish.
Food Pairing Pink-roasted duck breast with red-berry jus; sesame-crusted tuna; or lightly smoked salmon.
