Production Details Reserve-quality fruit was selected, destemmed and carefully sorted before the berries were gently fed into fermentation tanks. The must underwent a cold soak, followed by fermentation with pump-overs. After fermentation, the wine was drained into French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and maturation on yeast lees. Oak maturation lasted 8 months: 60% in new French oak and 40% in one-year-old French oak. Recommended serving temperature is 16–18°C.
Tasting Notes Bright ruby red; intense cherry, plum and blackberry; chocolate, tobacco and spicy oak; medium- to full-bodied and fleshy, with fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, elegant structure and length.
Food Pairing Roast meat, fried steak, crispy fillet, baked or smoked sausage, and hard cheese.
