Production Details Extended Barrel-Aged (EBA) release. A pre-release Parker note projected 43 months in oak; the later Wine Advocate review states that the finished wine spent just under four years in oak and that all fruit came from the estate Eleven Confessions Vineyard.
Tasting Notes Robert M. Parker Jr. (5 July 2009) described a massive, brawny, rich, structured and dense Syrah requiring substantial aeration. Peter Moser (18 March 2016) noted dark ruby color; liquorice, black-forest berry confit, flowers and violets, fine oak spice and chocolate; and a powerful, spicy, mineral palate with nougat and crème de cassis.
