Production Details Dry-farmed, head-trained field-blend fruit was hand harvested, destemmed and fully crushed, with two pumpovers daily. The wine matured for fourteen months in 100% air-dried American oak barrels: 15% new, 1% one-year-old, 10% two-year-old and 74% five-plus-year-old. Ridge records minimum-effective sulfur additions of 35 ppm at crush and 262 ppm over the course of aging, followed by pad filtration at bottling.
Tasting Notes Very dark color; stone fruit, raspberry, mint chocolate and anise aromas; concentrated and structured, with well-coated tannins; blueberry, blackberry, baking spice and mineral flavors
