Production Details Hand-harvested grapes were destemmed and crushed. Fermentation began an average of two days after crush, with twice-daily pump-overs; primary fermentation used native yeast without inoculation, followed by full natural malolactic fermentation. The wine aged nine months in 100% air-dried American oak barrels (10% new; 90% at least five years old). Tartaric acid and oak from barrel aging were used. Sulfur additions were 35 ppm at crush and 150 ppm cumulatively over aging; these are process additions, not a finished-wine sulfite analysis. The wine was membrane sterile filtered at bottling. The producer suggests serving it at room temperature or slightly chilled.
Tasting Notes Hibiscus, cranberry, blood orange, black tea, boysenberry, pomegranate and vanilla; light-to-medium body, playful acidity and supple texture
