Production Details Hand-harvested fruit was whole-cluster pressed, with the varieties fermented separately. Natural primary fermentation finished in January 2019 and secondary/malolactic fermentation by the end of March 2019. Ridge reports 90% barrel fermentation and aging and 10% concrete fermentation and aging. The barrel oak split was reported as 22% air-dried French and 78% air-dried American oak; barrel ages were 21% new, 11% one-year-old, 30% two-year-old, 10% four-year-old and 28% five-year-old. Barrel aging lasted eight months. Minimum-effective sulfur was used and the wine was pad filtered at bottling. The official vineyard profile additionally reports cordon training, spur pruning and a yield of 2 tons per acre; that yield is retained in its original basis and is not converted to hl/ha.
Tasting Notes Translucent-gold appearance; citrus, green plum and melon aromas with oak spice; lemon zest, orange blossom, firm acidity and a flinty crushed-rock finish.
