The producer records minimum-effective SO2 additions of 35 ppm at crush and 85 ppm during aging; these are process additions, not a finished-wine sulfites measurement. The wine was pad filtered at bottling.

Production Details The producer sheet is internally inconsistent about maturation: its narrative says the wine was aged eight months in five-year-old barrels, while its technical section specifies 33% American oak for four months followed by six additional months, 4% new French oak, 1% new Acacia, 2% concrete amphora and 2% Italian clay amphora for four months followed by six months in neutral barrels, and 58% stainless steel for ten months. The same sheet reports yields of 3 tons/acre at Adelaida, 2 tons/acre at Fossil Creek and 3 tons/acre at Halter Ranch; these site-specific mass yields are retained without conversion to wine hl/ha. It records sustainably farmed, hand-harvested fruit, SO2 additions of 35 ppm at crush and 93 ppm during aging, and pad filtration.
Tasting Notes Honeysuckle, citrus blossom, pear, apricot, mineral notes, and bright refreshing acidity

Production Details After whole-cluster pressing, the wine spent six months on its lees. The vessel schedule reports 33% American oak, comprising 20% one-year-old and 80% two- or three-year-old barrels, for four months followed by six additional months; 4% new French oak and 1% new Acacia; 2% concrete and 2% Italian clay amphora for four months followed by six months in neutral barrels; and 58% stainless steel for ten months. Sustainably farmed grapes were hand harvested. The producer records SO2 additions of 35 ppm at crush and 50 ppm during aging—process additions rather than finished-wine sulfites analysis—and pad filtration at bottling.
Tasting Notes Golden straw color; pear, honeysuckle, pineapple, candied lime, tangerine and wet stone; lively entry, medium body, minerality, fresh acidity and a long finish

2022 Technical Specifications

Alcohol 13.7%
pH 3.18
Total Acidity 5.54 g/L
Grape Varieties 86% Grenache Blanc, 14% Picpoul
Drinking Window 2023–2029
Region Paso Robles
Soil Limestone soils
Harvest Dates 22 August–6 September 2022
Brix at Harvest 23.1°
Sites Adelaida Vineyard, Fossil Creek Vineyard, and Halter Ranch Vineyard
Fermentation Vessels Oak barrels, concrete amphora, neutral barrels, and stainless steel
Pressing Method 100% Direct-To-Press Whole Cluster
Natural Yeast Yes
Indigenous Yeast Yes
Malolactic Fermentation 100%
Oak Types American oak, French oak, and Acacia
Contains Added Sulfites Yes
Production Details The wine was fermented dry and aged on its lees for six months. The producer describes four months of barrel fermentation followed by six additional months, with American oak plus new French and Acacia oak; 2% concrete amphora was used for four months before six months in neutral barrels, and 4% stainless steel was used for ten months. The barrel-age percentages as rendered on the page are internally unclear—85% American oak is followed by 12% one-year-old, 79% two- to three-year-old, 8% new French and 1% new Acacia—so they are not normalized into a supposedly complete distribution. Sustainably farmed grapes were hand harvested. SO2 additions of 35 ppm at crush and 48 ppm during aging are process additions, not finished-wine sulfites analysis. The wine was pad filtered.
Tasting Notes Golden color; white flowers, peach, ripe melon, pineapple, key lime and wet stone; bright clean entry, medium body, minerality, fresh acidity and a mouthwatering finish
