Production Details Sustainably farmed and hand-harvested fruit was whole-cluster pressed, fermented in an open-top tank with minimal pump-overs, and underwent natural primary fermentation followed by full natural malolactic fermentation. The wine used 100% air-dried American-oak barrels at least five years old and was pad filtered at bottling. The technical Winemaking panel lists eleven months in barrel, while the producer's vintage narrative separately says the wine had spent twelve months in barrel; this one-month conflict is unresolved. Sulfur context was 35 ppm at crush and 180 ppm cumulatively over aging, not a stated finished-wine sulfites measurement. The 2023 season had 35 inches of rainfall, mid-June bloom, a cold wet winter, cool summer and cool harvest.
