2024 Technical Specifications

Region California
Production Details At the producer’s May 2025 blending-stage tasting, the 2024 was identified as the second year of Lignée de Tablas Shake Ridge Syrah and assigned a rough quantity of 330 cases. This was pre-release information rather than a finished-wine technical specification.
Tasting Notes Pre-release May 2025 blending-stage note: classic Syrah, less brawny than the estate wine, with tiramisu, blackcurrant, cured meat and graphite aromas; black raspberry, caramel, Chinese five spice and warm baked earth on the palate.

Production Details Shake Ridge Ranch lies on steep hills at 1,650–1,850 feet, and the sourced Syrah was planted in 2003. Grapes were transported to Tablas Creek in a refrigerated truck; after fermentation, the wine was moved to neutral barrels, reassembled, and bottled in April 2025. Published production figures conflict: the official wine page lists 350 cases, while the later Spring 2026 producer release article lists 356 cases. The wine page also labels the appellation as El Dorado while its vineyard narrative places Shake Ridge Ranch near Sutter Creek in Amador County, so the narrower appellation is not treated as settled here.
Tasting Notes Official vintage-page note: blackberry preserves, brown sugar, bramble and pencil shavings; lively and herby palate with black raspberry and toasted walnut; dark fruit and graphite finish. Spring 2026 producer release note: black pepper, pancetta, wood smoke, slate and black olive; black cherry, fig, baker’s chocolate and baking spice; firm, graphite-marked finish with mouth-filling texture.
Food Pairing Grilled steaks; lamb; rich beef stews; cassoulet.
