Production Details The fruit was fully destemmed. The wine matured for 23 months in French oak, 20% new; Wine Advocate describes the other 80% as old hogsheads.
Tasting Notes Wine Advocate (JD, August 2014): blackberry, cassis, crushed rocks, beef blood and licorice, with a massive, full-bodied yet non-cumbersome profile. Vinous (AG, August 2015): red cherry, pomegranate, spice and sweet floral notes, supported by acidity and tannin that provide freshness and polish.
