Production Details 41% whole-cluster fruit was used, predominantly for the Grenache. The earlier-ripening Viognier was frozen and then co-fermented with the red grapes; the frozen fruit cooled and slowed fermentation. Maturation lasted approximately 23 months in 37% new French oak, 57.8% used oak and 5.2% concrete.
Tasting Notes Wine Advocate, August 2021: fresh black cherry, boysenberry, red rose and raspberry leaf, with cracked pepper, dusty earth, bay leaf and anise; concentrated and full-bodied with a silky texture, lively freshness and a long, spicy finish.
