Production Details Christie’s records 180 cases produced and also prints “50 New & Used Barrel.” The latter wording lacks an explicit percentage sign and clear unit, so it is retained verbatim as ambiguous barrel context and is not normalized into an oak proportion.
Tasting Notes Peter Moser, tasting 18 March 2016: intense ruby with purple reflections; leafy aromas, tobacco, ripe dark forest fruits, vanilla, smoky mineral notes and forest floor; creamy texture, vivid tannins, chocolate, ripe cherry and candied orange. Vinous: red berries, woodsmoke, tobacco and strawberry, with a silky, concentrated palate and long tannic finish. Wine Spectator: plum, cherry, wild berry, spice and mineral notes.
