Grapes were sustainably farmed, hand harvested, destemmed and crushed. The wine spent fourteen months in 100% air-dried American oak barrels (12% new; 88% five-plus years old). Sulfur use was reported as 35 ppm at crush and 135 ppm cumulatively over aging, not as a finished-wine sulfites analysis. Rainfall was 64 inches; bloom occurred at the end of June, and the season was consistently cool with a late, prolonged harvest.
