Production Details This is a non-vintage blend of component Ports from different vintages. The producer describes full maturation in seasoned oak casks holding about 630 L and blending from reserves of old cask-aged Ports in Oporto. Kobrand’s U.S. technical profile says fermentation is halted by adding grape spirit, the component wines mature in 600 L neutral-oak casks, and the finished blend has an average age of 10 years. The producer’s approximate 630 L figure and Kobrand’s 600 L specification are retained as source-specific descriptions rather than reconciled. The producer recommends serving at 12–16 °C and says decanting is unnecessary.
Tasting Notes Deep brick colour with an amber rim; ripe berry fruit, delicate nuttiness, chocolate, butterscotch and fine oak; smooth and silky, with ripe figgy and jammy flavours and a long finish.
Food Pairing Desserts featuring almonds, berry fruit or dark chocolate; rich blue-veined cheeses; walnuts or roasted almonds.
