Production Details Hand-picked fruit is trained by Guyot and Royat. The white grapes receive long skin maceration, occasionally with foot treading in lagares; fermentation continues to near dryness before fortification with pure grape brandy. The blend is aged in small old oak casks in Vila Nova de Gaia for at least 3.5 years before bottling, while the producer summary describes an average blend age of 3.5 years. The current producer API gives 4,000 vines/ha, whereas an older producer-authored mirrored sheet gives 4,000–6,000 vines/ha; neither identifies a separate lot or edition.
