Production Details This is a 1 L, multi-vintage blend with an average age of 3 years. Grapes are sourced primarily from Vale de Mendiz in Cima Corgo; vines are 30–80 years old, planted at 4,000 vines/ha, trained to Royat and Guyot, and hand-picked during September/October. Following foot-treading and fermentation in lagares, the wine ages in Niepoort's cool Vila Nova de Gaia cellars in large old oak/wooden vats. The finished-wine sheet also reports dry extract 123.60 g/L, volatile acidity 0.30 g/L, Baumé 3.40 and density 1.0210 g/cm³.
