Production Details A non-vintage blend of wines from different harvests. Grapes are hand-picked, destemmed and crushed, followed by careful maceration with constant churning during fermentation in stainless-steel vats at 28–30°C. Fermentation continues until the desired Baumé is reached, when grape brandy is added to fortify the wine. Components undergo differing maturation in stainless steel and wood for a minimum of 3 years. Vineyard elevation is stated only as up to 600 m. Vines include traditional horizontal terraces and more recent vinha ao alto plantings. Recommended serving temperature is 12–14°C. Store upright in a cool, dry, dark place; after opening, consume within 4–6 months.
Tasting Notes Vivid orangey-brown colour; ripe and honeyed fruit with fragrant vanilla notes; smooth and round palate with rich, enveloping flavours
Food Pairing Caramel-, coffee-, apricot- and dried-fruit desserts; caramelised walnuts; tiramisu; hazelnut meringue pie; mild cheeses such as Brie
