Production Details Historical 2011/2012 special edition: produced exclusively from old vines; because a single estate rarely supplied enough fruit to fill a lagar, grapes from five estates were combined and only the equivalent of 500 boxes was selected. Across the two years, these old vines averaged just over 1.20 tonnes of grapes per hectare, while an individual old vine averaged just over 100 grams. Roots reached more than 6 metres through schist. The sheet recommends storage away from direct light at 10–15°C, service at 16–18°C and no decanting.
Tasting Notes Deep purple; complex floral aromas with rockrose and anise; concentrated and structured, with refreshing acidity, black plum, liquorice, mineral character and a soft, velvety finish
Food Pairing Cheese, chocolate desserts, berry-based desserts, or on its own after dinner
