Production Details The wine blends young and aged Port wines. The current producer page describes ageing for an average of 20 years in seasoned oak casks, while the technical-sheet copy says the wine is perfected for more than 20 years; no exact ageing-day value is established. The finished wine measures 4.0 Baumé. Serve slightly chilled; the current producer page recommends consuming it within eight weeks after opening, and the importer sheet says decanting is not required. Grapes are sourced primarily from Quinta dos Malvedos, Quinta do Tua, Quinta das Lages, Quinta da Vila Velha and Quinta do Vale de Malhadas, with additional fruit from selected growers.
Tasting Notes Amber-golden tawny; nutty bouquet, mature fruit and orange peel; rich, softly sweet and smooth palate with balanced structure and a long, elegant finish.
Food Pairing Nuts, dried fruits, fruitcake, vanilla ice cream and crème brûlée.
