Production Details Fruit came from a low-elevation, nearly flat plot at Quinta do Carneiro in Alenquer. The grapes fermented in open-topped food-grade plastic tanks of up to 1,000 litres; immediately after fermentation the tanks were closed with adjustable steel air-chamber lids to exclude oxygen. Producer sources state nine months of skin contact for Curtimenta 2023 and a small sulphur addition. A specialist vintage listing additionally reports destemming and crushing, spontaneous fermentation without temperature control, pressing, racking one week later, and bottling without stabilization or filtration. Its wording places nine months of skin contact after alcoholic fermentation, whereas the producer states nine months overall and Julia Harding reports a total maceration of 6–9 months including fermentation; the post-fermentation duration is therefore unresolved. A second specialist listing describes six months sealed after fermentation and recommends serving at 7–14°C.
Tasting Notes Julia Harding MW, 12 September 2025: golden colour; apricot, candied citrus, honeysuckle, jasmine and dried-grass aromas; light-bodied with definite but non-aggressive tannins, a sweet-fruit impression despite being bone dry, persistent flavours and a sour-fresh finish.
