Production Details Quinta de Nápoles fruit came from organically cultivated Bastardo vines in two separately handled sites. The vines were 30 years old and over 70 years old, planted at 6,000 vines/ha between 120 and 350 m, trained Guyot and Royat, and hand-picked. Both lots used 100% whole bunches and matured for 14 months in barriques. Dry extract was 25.30 g/dm³, volatile acidity 0.80 g/dm³, free SO₂ at bottling 15 mg/dm³, density 0.9903, energy 334 kJ/100 ml, and carbohydrates 1 g/100 ml.
Tasting Notes Red cherry, dried rose petal, fine leather, tobacco and spice; ethereal and restrained, with fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity and a linear finish
Food Pairing Sausages, grilled meats, herb-based dishes such as couscous and açorda, mushroom dishes, and cold salads
