Production Details This 500 ml non-vintage release comes from vines planted at 4,000 vines/ha and trained by Guyot and Royat; grapes were hand-picked. It blends a small quantity of historical Niepoort Quinado from the 1950s and 1970s with younger, fresher current Quinado and contains quinine. The producer record also reports residual sugar 120.00, dry extract 144.70, total acidity 4.60, volatile acidity 0.50, total SO2 40, free SO2 at filling 19, Baumé 4.50 and density 1.0300, but the exposed API supplies no units or acidity basis, so these figures are retained contextually rather than proposed to typed analytical columns. Serving guidance is slightly chilled, or with plenty of ice, neat, with tonic water, sparkling water or fruit slices.
