Production Details Grapes came from Quinta São Luiz in the Cima Corgo subregion, from schist soils at 200–350 metres. After manual dawn harvesting, they were transported in small boxes and held in a cold room until vinification. Selected whole bunches were gently pressed to limit colour extraction, then fermented in stainless steel at a controlled 10–14°C. After alcoholic fermentation, part matured in chestnut and Portuguese-oak casks and the remainder in amphora; the final blend was assembled after six months. The finished wine had total sugars of 0.6 g/L. The white formed part of a limited edition of 1,100 three-bottle cases containing one red, one white and one rosé Rufete wine.
Tasting Notes Complex, fresh and floral aroma; elegant and creamy palate with a touch of lychee and lively acidity on the finish
Food Pairing Seafood and fish dishes, white meats and cheeses
