Production Details Fruit came from Quinta de São Luiz in Cima Corgo, at 200–350 metres. It was handpicked at dawn during the last week of August 2021, transported in small crates and held in a cold chamber before partial destemming and light crushing. Alcoholic fermentation ran for 12 days in stainless-steel vats at 22–24°C, followed by five days of skin maceration. Malolactic fermentation and 12 months of maturation took place across chestnut and Portuguese-oak barrels and amphorae. The recommended serving range is 16–18°C. This wine formed part of a limited release of 1,100 three-bottle boxes containing one red, one white and one rosé Rufete wine.
Tasting Notes Light and fresh, with garnet colour and fine texture; defined wild-berry aromas accompanied by fine spices, accentuated by maturation in chestnut barrels.
Food Pairing Red meats, cheeses and oily fish
