Production Details Premium full-strength Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is produced first. Spinning-cone technology gently removes the aroma and then the alcohol at low temperature; the collected aroma is returned, followed by a small amount of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grape juice. The catalogue specification also identifies natural yeast proteins as a texture-building component, without added sugar. Producer materials state that the finished alcohol-removed wine contains no more than 0.5% alcohol by volume.
Tasting Notes Tropical fruit, grapefruit, passionfruit and pineapple, with fruit sweetness, juicy texture and a crisp finish. Cameron Douglas MS additionally describes peach, lemon, apple, sage and basil, with a crisp, refreshing and just-dry palate. The 2024 IWSC entry describes lush tropical aromas, medium-bodied mouthfeel and a clean finish.
