Production Details Medium-dry, estate-grown single-vineyard Bendigo Riesling from vines planted in 2005/07 at 228–315 m on Misha’s north-west-facing terraces. Fruit was hand-picked at 7 t/ha; the season accumulated 1167 GDD. Seventy percent, mostly free-run juice, was inoculated and cool-fermented at 15–17°C in stainless steel; the remaining juice fermented wild in older French barrels. Ferments were stopped early by chilling to retain sweetness. Harvest analysis was pH 2.93 and TA 10.9 g/L.
Tasting Notes Rose petals, orange zest, lively citrus fruit and ginger; smooth, polished and medium-dry.
Food Pairing Seafood, especially shellfish; chicken, duck or pork with creamy or piquant sauces; pâté, cold meats, salads, mild cheeses and Pad Thai; also suitable as an apéritif.
