Production Details Made from Pio Cesare white wines, numerous aromatic herbs, sugar and alcohol, and finished with caramel or burnt sugar. The current NV importer sheet specifies 26 herbs—including absinth, marjoram leaves, gentian roots and orange zest—followed by a 15-day maceration and maturation in oak barrels for at least four months. The producer recommends serving it neat at cellar temperature with lemon zest; the importer specifies no ice.
