Maturation comprises at least 20 months in new French barriques, 8 months in Slavonian oak casks, and at least 10 further months in bottle before release. The Italian sheet states an average vine age of more than 30 years, while its official English counterpart states more than 40 years; the conflicting bound is therefore not proposed as a canonical vine-age value.
