Production Details Vines were 25–75 years old at 150–250 m elevation. Training comprised spurred cordon at 6,250 vines/ha, Trentino pergola at 1,800 vines/ha and Guyot at 5,200 vines/ha; stated yields were 60 q/ha for rows and 80–90 q/ha for pergola. Spontaneous fermentation and 12–16 days of maceration took place in small concrete tanks with daily pumpovers and délestage. After racking, malolactic fermentation occurred in the same tanks, followed by several months of settling. Maturation comprised 24 months in medium-toasted first-, second- and third-passage French oak, final blending, then at least 24 months in bottle before release. Analytical conflict retained: the importer sheet states total acidity 5.76 g/L, while the producer archive lists only “acidity 6.13” without a unit or analytical basis.
Tasting Notes Intense ruby red; berries, balsamic notes, undergrowth, tobacco and aromatic herbs; lively and elegant palate with refined tannins, balance, depth and a persistent finish
