Production Details Hand-harvested Pinot Nero came from family-owned Villa Margon, Maso Orsi and Maso Valli vineyards at over 400 metres, trained to Guyot and Pergola. First fermentation was in stainless-steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation; the cuvée was then bottled with yeast from Ferrari’s own strain selection for secondary fermentation. Ferrari’s producer sheet specifies a minimum of 55 months on the lees, while Liberty’s importer sheet describes an average of at least six years before disgorgement and dosage; these differing duration statements are retained as release/source specifications rather than reconciled into an exact day count.
Tasting Notes Golden, bright and finely sparkling; yellow peach, candied fruit, nuts, panettone, green coffee and salted butter; powerful yet refined and balanced, dynamic and extremely long.
