Production Details Producer specification: simple-guyot vines, yield 800 g per plant, and 16 months of aging in new oak barrels and stoneware amphora. The exact-vintage Vintus importer sheet agrees on the aging but instead describes double-cordon and single-guyot training, an unresolved training-system discrepancy; it also states that hand harvesting and manual sorting are standard at the estate.
Tasting Notes D.C. (December 2023): cracked black pepper, green peppercorn, hot chili, flint, leather, raspberry jam and vanilla; spicy palate with lively acidity, lingering sweetness, chili and chocolate finish.
