Production Details Hillside vineyards; vertical-shoot-positioned training with spur-pruned cordon, leaving 6 buds per plant; planting density 4,500–5,700 plants/ha; grape yield approximately 40–50 quintals/ha.
Tasting Notes Intense ruby red; black mulberry, plum, black pepper, liquorice, mint and cocoa-bean nuances; deep palate, velvety tannins and a persistent finish
Food Pairing Roasted and braised meats, pasta dishes with ragù, rack of lamb, and richly flavoured stewed fish; serve at 18°C in large glasses and optionally open a couple of hours beforehand
