Production Details The grapes were harvested by hand. The vineyard lies at 350–370 metres. After fermentation and prolonged maceration, the wine matured for one year in French-oak casks and a further year in large oak casks, followed by bottle maturation of unspecified duration before release.
Tasting Notes Deep ruby with garnet reflections; kirsch, mint, cedar, sweet tobacco, incense, dried herbs, eucalyptus, blueberry, cherry, violet, sweet spices, toasted hazelnut and dried flowers; broad, juicy and silky, with delicate integrated tannins, fresh acidity and a long finish
Food Pairing Roast red meats, beef, lamb, game, mature cheeses, mushroom or white-truffle dishes, tajarin with ragù, and porcini risotto
