Production Details The 12-hectare Contrada Samperi vineyard is mostly level, planted at 3,500 vines/ha and trained to Guyot; the Italian producer page also mentions alberello. Grapes were harvested and selected by hand, softly pressed, naturally settled, and fermented traditionally at room temperature with indigenous yeasts in oak and chestnut barrels. Part of the must was fortified in 1988 solely with grape spirit obtained from the same grapes. The archived 2014 sheet reports bound SO2 below 25 mg/L, while the exact-wine importer reports total sulfites of 32 mg/L. The current producer sheet prints “Acidity: 9” without a unit or analytical basis and “Total SO2: 32 g/L”; these ambiguous entries were not normalized. Serving guidance also differs: the producer wine page recommends 14–16°C, while the current producer shop gives 16–18°C.
