Production Details The producer identifies 2002 as the first Montepulciano vintage to enter its revised decanting regime after twenty years of ageing. In that process each ordered bottle is opened with sediment undisturbed, tasted, transferred neck-to-neck into a fresh bottle, topped with wine from another bottle of the same vintage and recorked under nitrogen. The exact trade listing describes its offered bottles as winery-decanted, checked and recorked, and recommends serving at 18–20°C.
