Sites Single-vineyard Boscogrosso; approximately 2 hectares on the hilltop at the boundary between Monleale and Volpeglino.
Fermentation Vessels Ceramic vessels, wooden vats and stainless-steel tanks
Production Details Fermentation lasted four weeks in ceramic, wooden and stainless-steel vessels. The wine then matured for 16 months in those vessels on its lees, followed by a further 12 months in bottle; malolactic fermentation was not carried out.
Tasting Notes Hawthorn and honey aromas; fresh and rich, with pronounced minerality, complexity and a long finish.
