Alcoholic fermentation occurred partly in stainless steel and partly in concrete at 22–26°C for about ten days, followed by approximately 10–15 days of maceration. Malolactic fermentation occurred partly in steel and partly in barriques. Maturation was approximately 15 months in barriques—30% new and 70% second- and third-use—with blending after eight months and another seven months in barrique, followed by six months in bottle before release. The exact-vintage Vintus importer page conflicts by describing stainless-only alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation in steel completed in barrel, and a 25% new/75% one-year-old barrel regime.
Tasting Notes Deep, intense colour with purple reflections; red fruit, raspberry, redcurrant, floral and light spice notes; crisp and vibrantly fresh, balanced and dynamic, with density, elegant tannins and a long, persistent fruity finish. The Vintus importer additionally notes dried lavender, sage and black cherry, a full body, rich flavour, velvety tannins and refreshing acidity.
