Production Details The vines were planted in 1990. Purchased Chardonnay was brought to Puligny-Montrachet, fermented in 228 L Burgundian barrels (20% new), underwent malolactic fermentation, and matured for 11 months on the lees in the same barrel type. The wine was then assembled in larger steel tanks and rested for approximately six months before bottling. The sheet also lists acidity as 3.5 and sugar as <3 without giving units or the analytical acid basis, so neither observation is mapped to a finished-wine analytical column.
Tasting Notes Golden color; buttery Chardonnay character with wild flowers, lime, peach, and a hint of tropical fruit; dry, structured, intense, and harmonious.
Food Pairing Pork, fish, or shellfish.
