Production Details Santenay suffered severe crop losses in 2021. Bachelet-Monnot therefore made one Santenay red cuvée instead of its usual three, blending the Les Charmes Dessus and Les Prarons Dessus single-vineyard wines with old-vine fruit from Le Chainey and Les Bras.
Tasting Notes Neal Martin, Vinous (reviewed January 2023): brambly red fruit, briary and light sous-bois aromas; medium-bodied palate with crunchy tannins, black pepper, tobacco and a spicy finish. Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: mid-purple colour, a bouquet suggesting weight, substantial fruit, an extra tingle of acidity and darker raspberry.
