Production Details Old vines aged 20–40 years grow on hillside terraces at 8,000–10,000 vines/ha, with natural cover cropping, no insecticides, limited treatments, small amounts of organic fertilizer, leaf-thinning, spring debudding and green harvesting. Parcels were harvested and vinified separately; grapes were hand-picked, sorted, crushed and partially destemmed. Fermentation and maceration lasted about three weeks in open-top, temperature-controlled vats with regular cap-punching and pump-overs. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation and matured for 16 months in barrels.
Tasting Notes Black and dense in color; intense ripe black fruit, especially sour cherry; balanced, with velvety tannins and powerful ripe black fruit
