Production Details Guigal owns the majority of the 14-acre eponymous parcel, whose plantings are 60% red and 40% white; vines are 20–75 years old and yielded 1.8 tons per acre. Fermentation occurred at high, controlled temperatures. The growing season experienced April frost, unsettled spring weather, a cool dry summer and September rain; ripening was late and uneven, while the grapes retained good concentration, healthy natural acidity and normal sugar levels.
Tasting Notes Importer: pure, intense black-fruit aromas with delicate oak, followed by a fresh, powerful attack. Wine Advocate, 20 November 2025: spices, dark berries, gentian, pencil lead and bay leaf; medium- to full-bodied, structured, succulent, with elegant tannins and a long saline finish.
