Production Details Sustained heat and drought advanced ripening and produced what the source describes as the earliest harvest on record, approximately two weeks earlier than usual. The grapes were in excellent sanitary condition and received gentle handling, slow prolonged extraction and a 30-day vatting period. Maturation lasted 18 months in barrels, comprising 30% new barrels and 70% second-fill barrels.
Tasting Notes Deep ruby; aromas of red berries, raspberry, liquorice and flowers of Provence; smooth, velvety mouthfeel with silky tannins; cherry, raspberry, blueberry, Malabar pepper and violet; harmonious lingering finish.

Production Details The 2021 season was described as a long-haul vintage with a rapid start, cloudy middle and radiant finish. The harvested grapes attained good tannin and anthocyanin levels. Cellar vatting averaged 26 days for gentle phenolic extraction. Maturation lasted 18 months in barrels, comprising 20% new barrels and 80% second-fill barrels.
Tasting Notes Dark garnet; pure, expressive nose of morello cherry, raspberry and blueberry, with pepper and subtle graphite; soft, velvety palate with blue and black fruits, plum, blackberry and Malabar pepper; lingering clafoutis-like finish.
