Production Details The 2022 was the debut vintage, with three barrels produced from the 0.15-hectare parcel. The producer's estate-wide 2022 note—not a Rue au Port-specific specification—reports picking from 25–31 August, long and steady red-wine fermentations, most reds devatted at close to 21 days, and variable malolactic timing, with some reds not finishing until summer. Recommended serving temperature is 15–16°C.
Tasting Notes John Gilman: red plums, pomegranate, gamebird, soil, peonies, woodsmoke, cocoa powder, spices and discreet new oak; bright and full-bodied, with ripe tannins, fine soil undertow, focus and balance.
Food Pairing Grilled lamb, rabbit or beef; strong cheeses such as Époisses, Délices de Bourgogne or Roquefort
