2018 Technical Specifications
Classification Premier Cru
Region Les Valozieres
Soil Clay-rich soil that tends to retain water
Vine Age Parcel planted in 1987 and 1988
Production Details The producer's 2018 vintage note reports an estate harvest running from 21 August to 23 September, with picking in the cool morning at optimal ripeness; heterogeneous maturity required a deliberately extended harvest, enabling whole-cluster vinification. Horse cultivation decompacts the clay-rich surface and improves rain penetration.
Tasting Notes Undergrowth, damp earth and black fruit; freshness despite the warm vintage.
