Production Details At Stephen Tanzer's late-spring barrel tasting, this wine still had some sugar left to ferment. For the 2006 whites generally, Mounir Saouma delayed development by keeping the barrels in the coolest cellar areas; after receiving them in January, Lucien Le Moine kept them very cold under the roof with a slight sulfur addition and planned earlier bottling than in preceding years.
Tasting Notes Stephen Tanzer's late-spring barrel tasting: pale color; very ripe aromas of grilled nuts, clove and smoky oak; mineral character, firm acidity, ripe fruit, energy and tension; somewhat chunky and tannic at that unfinished stage.
