Production Details The fruit was selected in the vineyard and again on a winery sorting table, then lightly crushed and destemmed. Some whole clusters could be included depending on grape condition. Fermentation in stainless steel followed several days of cold pre-fermentation maceration and was temperature-controlled, with pumpovers and punchdowns. Pneumatic pressing was followed by 14 months in French-oak barrels, 30% new, with malolactic fermentation in barrel. The barrels were blended one month before bottling; the wine was bottled without fining, with light filtration, according to the lunar calendar.
Tasting Notes Deep red-purple; blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, cherry, plum and berry-seed notes; rounded palate, delicate but firm structure, rich fruit and ample tannin
