Production Details Hand harvested, directly pressed and statically settled for 48 hours; fermented and matured in barrels with 20% new oak, then matured for 6 months in stainless steel after 12 months in barrel. Neal Martin's 2023 note says the vines were planted in 1980, which conflicts with the producer's undated official sheet stating 1975; neither planting year has been silently preferred for this vintage.
Tasting Notes La Pinothèque: white fruit, struck stone, chalk, fresh pineapple and bitter almond, with a substantial palate and taut finish. Neal Martin/Vinous: vibrant citrus, walnut and smoke; balanced, slightly honeyed texture, acidic spice, grip, concentration, body and a long persistent finish.
