2012 Technical Specifications
Classification Premier Cru
Region Les Feusselottes
Production Details The producer-hosted 2012 red-release introduction describes range-level élevage in a cold cellar with minimal intervention and extended time on lees, with long, late malolactic fermentations. Tanzer reports that secondary fermentations mostly finished near the end of August and that the wines had not been racked by his November tasting. These are 2012 red-range statements, not finished-wine analytical measurements specific to the Les Feusselottes barrel.
Tasting Notes First producer-hosted review: open and expressive, with silky red berries, crushed flowers and mint. Stephen Tanzer: strawberry, grenadine, paprika and sweet red spices; red fruit, citrus peel and blood orange; energetic, sharply delineated and firmly tannic.
Critics Ratings 90-92 (first producer-hosted review); 91-93 (Stephen Tanzer)
