2020 Technical Specifications

Drinking Window At least 10 years from the November 2021 tasting
Region Les Folatieres
Vineyard Yield 40 hL/ha
Production Details A producer-hosted Spring 2021 estate profile reports that the 2020 manual harvest lasted 12 days, used two picking teams and was conducted only in the mornings; pressing was intended to be very gentle, new oak had been reduced to 10%, and oxygen exposure was limited through a single pumping operation. The profile separately identifies the Les Folatières holding as approximately 0.50 ha with vines in their fifties; those vineyard and estate-practice observations are contextual and are not presented as exact lot analyses.
Tasting Notes Jasper Morris, November 2021: powerful, full-hearted and crisp, with white peach and no excessive exoticism. Burghound, June 2022: mineral reduction, apricot, white peach, fine mid-palate density, stony power, depth, persistence, a sappy finish and slight warmth.
Critics Ratings Jasper Morris, November 2021: 93–96 points
